A power assisted robotic arm is an industrial equipment that utilizes the principle of force balance to achieve effortless handling of heavy objects. The operator only needs to apply a small force to move workpieces from tens of kilograms to tons, and is widely used in automotive manufacturing, electronic assembly, chemical production, and other scenarios. ‌‌


Working principle and main types

Working principle: Achieve "zero gravity" operation through pneumatic balancing system.

The internal cylinder and control valve group automatically sense the load weight and output balancing force.

The workpiece is in a nearly suspended state in the operating space, and the operator can apply a force of 5-50N to drive the robotic arm to move.

When the air is cut off, the safety brake instantly locks to prevent the load from falling. ‌‌‌


Main types:

Hard arm assisted robotic arm: The rigid arm can withstand eccentric torque and is suitable for complex trajectories and workpiece posture changes.

Soft rope assisted robotic arm (pneumatic balance crane): It floats vertically and lightly, suitable for pure loading and unloading, packaging and other scenarios.

Other types: folding arm crane, electric balance crane, cantilever crane, wall crane, etc. ‌‌
